DVD RW External Drive for imac 27"

Hello all,

I'm new to these forums and to Oz. I've just bought an imac 27" and am looking for an external (Bluray?) DVD / RW External Drive. Where are popular places to buy it from?
I'm also new to the Apple OS as I've been using Windows for many years. Any help is greatly appreciated!

    pick one.

    Blu-ray combo drives are significantly more expensive than ordinary DVD multireaders, especially one that also burns Blu-ray disks. Most of them are actually fairly terrible — they either lack proper OSX support and the BD burners are also pretty slow (max 6x speeds).

    E.g LG CP40NG10 External Super Slim USB2.0 Blu-Ray Combo Drive costs $104 at MSY.

    If you have no need of any BD-ROM support, you can just buy a plain jane USB DVD-RW drive, which sets you back around $30 or $40.

    Hey Scrimshaw,

    Thank you for your reply and information regarding those stores. I'll check out those places and may just pick up a regular USB 3.0 DVD-RW drive. The Apple Superdrive is somewhat expensive and only supports USB 2.0 I think.
