Uber has just arrived in Brisbane and during their trial period Uber rides will be free but will be limited.
Best chance of nabbing an Uber is in the CBD, Fortitude Valley, New Farm, and Paddington areas.

    Got one tonight Brisbane CBD to Carselding
    Its free 1/2 journeys for probs the first 2 weeks even gave me a bottle of water
    Was amazing would use again!

      It's just the most likely pickup area is inner city, given few vehicles & higher demand.
      Depends if there is a car near the airport for a pickup when you need it.

    Uber, which lets you use a simple smartphone app to book and pay for a private hire car at 'near-taxi' prices, warns that "availability will be extremely limited" during the trial period.
