  • ive never owned an LED, is 100hz sufficient? ive always owned a plasma which will never have these lag issues.

    • 100Hz vs 600Hz makes no difference to lag. That has a lot more to do with signal processing delays and pixel response time.

    Out of stock guys

  • Great tv no lag issues. Don't really like the smart tv interface. Sony calls it SEN. Passive 3D is one of the best I have seen. Just need Sony to fix the firmware on the PS4 to playback 3D. Currently have to use PS3
paid $2799 in Jan from Costco.

not a bad deal if there was stock

for 70 inch, such large size, Full HD is just not enough.

For anything large than 60 inch, I strongly recommend the 4k TV.

Haven't heard about it? You are OUT OF DATE

4k -3840 x 2160 IS REALLY AMAZING!!! I tried in my friend's home, with special Movie he ordered from Amazon, That is the best i ever seen.

    • Probably why the 60+ inch "full HD" screens are getting cheap.

FWIW I tend to agree with you, 70" might be pushing the 1920x1080 resolution. 60" would be great though.

      • for the first time, I have seen someone who want 10" smaller :D

    • Yes
But It would take a while (? >2-3years??) before most of the movies come out at this 4k resolution and taking into account the cost of the 4k 70" reso TV…
I would just grap this 70" now if you are after larger screen and need one (not everyone are after that extra high resolution…)
In a few years, with the money you save you can just buy a new 4k tv with better features and bigge screen…? and you might able to watch all the new release movies at that 4k reso.

      I strongly disagree.

4K 70inch TVs cost a fortune and what do you play on it?

BluRay players are only full HD.

What "special movie" did you friend buy?

      • +2

He probably means one of those "Mastered in 4K" blu-rays. (Which are, surprise surprise, 1080p)

you can connect the 4k tv to your computer hd output through dp port, and watch 4k movie from computer.

I don't mean it's cheap, but if you not stand far away from 70 inch full-hd tv, you can see the gap between pixels. I may choose some other brands rather than sony, as i definitely cannot afford sony 4k tv

the movie i watched is Timescapes.
