  • where are the cheap london return flights? for 1 years time? can't find anything good!

    • Yeah I want to know too cause thats the cheapest I have seen

  • I would like to say that its KUL-LONDON return. The outbound KUL-STN is $198 if pay via MYR, but its more on the way back due to inflated taxes charges by UK Airports..I guess you could mabye fly someone better on the London-KUL sector?

    • problem is all the cheap flights leave from london, but you pay more tax, kinda stupid really.

  • Just a few notes on all air asia flight. i just confirm with KLIA airport regarding Australia as high infected H1N1 country. It appears that all passenger have to go to quarantine for 7 days (regardless). So if you have made a booking you better check if you can actually go to holiday and not hospital.

    This is just friendly reminder.

    • Jesus, can anyone confirm this?

Hopes it settles down before the end of the year when I go there.. :\

    • Nevermind, just read the two articles.. they're asking people to 'self quarantine' if they feel its necessary. The seven day quarantine was for one particular case where one of the passengers had swine flu.

      • Hi, Rigby, the news as you see is couple weeks old.

i post this up since, today i called up airasia, and the guy that pick my phone confirm that is the case. please confirm through the phone no i provided above.

        regards

        • Oh good. I'm going to Malaysia in December xD

  • Just picked up 2 return Tix from Gold Coast to Vietnam for $400inc, thanks for the heads up.

  • Umm i just bought Air Asia tix a few days ago and a stop over at KL. If this is true then why would they even still sell tickets ? that doesnt make any sense, it means that we cant actually do anything with the tickets they are selling?

    • heh?

      • Took me a while to get what he was saying as well. But I think he is referring to the Quarantine post…

well the reason they still sell is because people will still travel. And the quarantine is most likely a self quarantine OR if people exhibit symptoms. Theres also a chance it will be lifted.

  • Seeking reservations for 6 months from now, and looking at a range of dates from 10 days before my preferred dates to 7 days after my preferred dates, the best MEL-KUL one-way fare was $545+$67=$612. The minimum return flight was showing better: $329+$23=$352 (inconvenient date). I think the $118 fare is a myth (or one seat on one flight).

    • Yeah, Airasia plus doesn't show any $128 fares either. Sometimes Airasia takes a while to update their seats.

    • I Managed to pick up a few 118 fares from Gold Coast to Vietnam, but it did take some juggling of dates, I think they are quite rare and you have to get in early. Worked out at just over $400 inc return each person. Its sneaky how it auto adds travel insurance on the KL to Hanoi leg and you have to manually remove it. The Conversion rate I got with my visa card worked out a bit better than what they quoted in AUD.

      • The Conversion rate I got with my visa card worked out a bit better than what they quoted in AUD.

You'll find that is the case with most websites. It's a way for them to make money from the unsuspecting.

      • I bought one way tickets all the way and it totalled up cheaper than if I have bought it return.

  • Rest assured, you are not going to be quarantined if you are well (or not close to those who are unwell).

"Liow (Health minister) meanwhile also refuted claims by certain quarters that Malaysian authorities were placing all visitors to the country under quarantine.

He said officials at airports would take throat swabs if visitors showed symptoms linked to the flu, but only placed them in isolation wards at designated hospitals if they tested positive; those who tested negative were free to leave.

He said even if an airplane passenger tested positive, only those seated three rows in front and three behind the confirmed case were placed under quarantine."
