Razor pit blade sharpener. Any good?

Does anyone use them? And if so, do they do a good job in sharpening shaver blade? Considering the amount of blade replacements you will save. For $29.95, it's an attractive price if it's worth it in the long run.

2nd part of this question is if it's better to invest in a decent electric shaver?

    No. Useless product

  • I think what they really do is just clean out the crud that accumulates on the blades and make them feel rough. You can do the same thing with an old toothbrush.

  • Invest in a DE shaving setup. Much better shaves, and the blades are almost free.

There is a learning curve though. Blades are sharp as Satan's own wit, and must be respected.

Get a boar brush and some Arko shaving soap while you're there.

Both your wallet, and your face, will thank you forever more.

    • My Merkur agrees =)

But my god the amount of blood I lose when I haven't shaved in a while and go back to it!

      • LOL :) Best work on your technique. It's very rare for me to see any blood at all these days.

  • I've read you can achieve some good results using a pair of jeans

  • Razors? Unless it's for your legs to look better in your pretty new skirt, or your dome to ward off the dreaded comb-over, you grow that beard, & you grow that beard with pride!
