This offer is at The Good Guys store in Nunawading (Vic). Not sure whether other TGG stores have the same prices.

iPad Mini Retina 16GB WiFi (ME276X/A) is selling for $412 or only $362 when combined with the $50 AMEX Cashback. Apple RRP is $479.

iPad Mini Retina 16GB WiFi & Cellular (ME800X/A) is selling for $526 or only $476 when combined with the $50 AMEX Cashback. Apple RRP is $629.

With all the airline deals of late, if you do make and overseas trip, there is also the chance to claim the GST back under the TRS.

For those not eligible for the $50 Amex cashback offer you could always try your luck asking Officeworks for a pricematch.

  It really surprises me no one has mentioned they took up this deal. With the AMEX cashback the final price is almost 25% off RRP. That's a massive discount on current Apple hardware.

      It's in quite a populated area. In a large homemaker centre that includes JB, HN, DS, etc. Well you can only post the deals and make people aware of them.

        It does go to show that you can sometimes get great offers on Apple products. You just have to find them when they become available, and obviously be within reasonable distance of the store having the sale.

      I was keen on the 16gb wifi only, wouldn't be an impulse buy.

      But the cell i got was impulse lol. But a saving is a saving haha, as of today there's no sale yet on any ipad mini retina, from local stores.

  Just back from the TGG Nunawading :-).

  They still have the other models (all a bit cheaper than RRP) - got the 16Gb AIR for 558$ (and then the 50$ Amex and I can use TRS). Not as good as the Mini deal … but still the best I found.

        The price was just by asking for their best deal. The ticketed deals were no longer available for the Air … so I just asked. Would get now 13.20$ back with the 120% price match guarantee … ah well …
