Samsung Galaxy Note 3 N9005 4G LTE 32GB Black $568 Delivered @ DWI

41

Was on the market for for a Note 3 and missed last week deal for the white one. Didn't mind a black, so I guess it's a fairly good price. Grey import I'd say.

  • great price…
might want to add it to the title

  • Price in title?

  • 568 AUD delivered ?
May want to put that in the heading

  • "Tell them the price son!"

    Cheers

  • Its a pretty good price. I think this is one of the lowest I've seen in a while.

  • Thanks. Long time user, thought it was time to contribute back to the community :)

  • Interesting that this price is only on eBay and not on their website. Very cheap @ 568 delivered though!

Bought one from them last Monday when it is $567 delivered
My one can't connect to 2g network, no warranty seal and the alignment of label at the back is quite off when compared with my dad's note 3 which he got it from renewed his hk internet contract. I really don't think my one is “Band New”
Tried to contact seller since Tuesday morning but still no luck.
Going to raise this issue to paypal resolution centre this afternoon if still receive no reply.

    • I uploaded the image of the back of the Note 3 bought from DWI (left) and my dad's Note 3 from his HK ISP (right) as my profile image. On the Note 3 from DWI(left), you will find no warranty seal covering the screw which is also covered by warranty sticker on my Note 2.
If you interested in this deal, please have a look before you purchase.

      • The boxes are unsealed to bypass the sim region lock (otherwise you couldn't use the phone here, it is done by simply making a ten minute call with a sim from the same region as the phone is built for).

Also my Note 3 has no warranty seal on any screws nor is the sticker aligned 100% under the battery. (I purchased from Kogan)

What band does this 2G network you are trying to access run on? Also who is the provider?

    • Which 2g network? What frequency? Might be a spefic region phone that doesnt have the 2g frequency here.

      • -2

After switched to “GSM only” in Network mode, i tried both telstra and virgin sim cards and both can't be registered on Network but have no issue on my Dad's Galaxy Note 3
Dwi replied me that their Note 3 works with the following network:
        4G/LTE 1700/2100, 4G/LTE 1800, 4G/LTE 2600, 4G/LTE 800, GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900, 3G 850, 3G 900, 3G 1900, 3G 2100

Which GSM frequency does Telstra and Virgin/Optus use?

        • -1

I think you have a settings issue only. Are the sims active? Mine works fine with those networks and all N9005 models are the same.

  • Can we get tax invoice from this purchase?

    • Only invoice from Diamond Logistic
No gst or even on phone's imei or s/n on the invoice/receipt :-\

    • +2

It's a grey import so no gst. That's why it's cheap.

Stupid seller. Just bought one from them 20 days ago. But the phone is not a brand new one coz the label was changed obviously and the signal is not constant, so I decided to refund it. I opened the case and returned the phone to them on 4th April. Until now, it is still under checking and every time I talked to them and asked for the status, they told me the phone is under testing. Testing a phone needs two weeks? They must be making a new phone for me…

Now I am not sure I can get the refund from them. Good luck if you want to buy things from them.

      how you returned the handset?
      who paid for the postage?
i asked them to send Courier to pick up the handset from my office, but no reply yet.

      • I posted it to their local warranty agent and then they posted it back to Hongkong. Then you need to wait for more than 20+ days for inspection. Then you will get the reply: there is nothing wrong with the phone and you can ask 3rd party check or post it to local warranty team for further inspection but you need to cover AUD20 postage. I did this and now I asked them to return it to me and I will pay for the postage. good luck

Cheating with people. Bought one and I am quite sure they sent me a refurbished handset and it also can't connect to GSM (2G) network. I have tried all Telstra, Vodafone and Optus. Most probably all of those handset are flashed with a BETA firmware.

  • I suggest those with 2G issues try this

Go to Settings -> More Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Network Mode -> Choose GSM Only.

This will limit you to 2G internet but I feel the problem is due to your 3G/4G signals being very weak in your area so that probably isn't an issue. The overall problem is one with Android though as a whole as it prefers to use 3G/4G over 2G no matter what.

Tell me how you get on, I'm interested in what is going on here.

    • There's obviously a really smart user here who negs anyone trying to help them.

      • can you see who neg you?

    • After switched to “GSM only” in Network mode, i tried both telstra and virgin SIM cards but the Note 3 form DWI failed to be registered on both Network.
If i open up a browser and go to ozbargain, it will pop up "No Network connection, No signal found for mobile networks".
However, using the same SIM cards, my Dad's Galaxy Note 3 can connected to both GSM only netwroks with no any issues.

  • Updates
DWI asked me to fill in a Online Return Authorisation Form which only valid for manufacturer defects.

Because i need the s/n of my handset to complete the form, i unpacked the Note3 and did a factory reset but still can't use 2g network

I also accidentally noticed my dad's Note 3 still has protective films covering its silver metallic edge but nothing on the DWI "Brand New" Galaxy Note 3 :-[

If you fill the form and then post the phone back to DWI. You will need to wait for 20+ days and then you will get the reply: there is nothing wrong with the phone and you can ask 3rd party check or post it to local warranty team for further inspection but you need to cover AUD20 postage. I did this and now I asked them to return it to me and I will pay for the postage. good luck

      • :(
Do you have "GSM only" connection issue?

  • hey, not happy with mine as well. it was sealed up and the stickers are ok…
but signal always dropping out and smart search on dialler refusing to work

  • Phone delivered yesterday, box sealed, all seem new.
Picked up $2 amaysim sim, and got myself $10 credit using referral :)
    All up and running now!
Only 1 downside: phone was set to chinese, so got a friend at work to help change it to English.

  • received all money back after very quick (10 minutes)paypal dispute

    • i dropped mine off @ atech on 29th Apirl
still hasn't got my money back yet >.<
