Ergonomics:

The LD190G is ergonomically designed allowing height alignment with your notebook, easing the strain on your eyes. With this comes the ability to tilt your monitor to the optimal angle for greater viewing comfort.

20000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio:

The contrast between light and dark colours on the screen is what makes images stand out. The bigger the difference between light and dark, the more vibrant images will appear. With an amazing dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000:1 you'll enjoy sharp image quality that's sure to catch your eye.

5ms Response Time:

Response time refers to how long it takes pixels to turn from completely white to black and back again. The lower the milliseconds (ms), the faster the response time is. A fast 5ms response time virtually eliminates any blurring, making this monitor perfect for enjoying video games and all of your digital entertainment.

    $10 shipping.

Call it $140 delivered, makes it simpler.

$10 shipping does sweeten the deal, considering that LCD box/packaging is usually quite bulky.

    Good Deal. Pretty Cheap

  • With no stand and more like laptop monitor without the laptop.. bit silly IMO.
Would get a very sore neck unless you had a raised monitor stand to sit on.

Considering you can also get a normal 19" lcd from most good shops with stand for about the $140 mark anyway RRP I dont think this is such a great deal!

Do these so called 'normal 19" LCD's" connect via USB? or VGA? I think its a pretty sweet deal cos of the USB connection. Pretty handy.

matt777 does have a point, if you were to use these as a secondary monitor with a PC setup it wouldn't be so great. However with a laptop or even as a monitor on it's own it would be fantastic. My mate (cosmetic surgeon) just picked this up and plans to use it as a digital photo/video frame at his surgery to showcase his handywork - not a bad idea as the monitor casing is pretty glossy and spiffy.

    • ummm gtfo, where can you get a 19" for "$140 mark anyway RRP"

I found a terrible AOC for $148 and an Asus VH192D for $149 and the specs on the Asus are only on par, if not worse than this Samsung. This is all without shipping and not taking into account the fact that the Samsung can use a USB to connect instead. I'm sold, getting one.

    Found the following review:
    http://preetamrai.com/weblog/archives/2009/06/11/reviewing-s…

The reviewer mentions that "they are offering promotional prices at Singapore PC Show (11 to 14 June at SUNTEC), LD190G at $229…"
$229 Singapore Dollars = approximately $200 Australian Dollars

Btw, QQQ there is a little bug on the check out page. If you select check out with paypal express, after redirecting from paypal I got the address to be in ACT in stead of NSW. I tried many times & got the same problem. After a few tries, I selected normal check out instead of paypal express, then selected paypal as the payment method (this way, you don't use paypal address but instead the one in your address book), and it was ok. You may want to have a look into this.

      Thanks for the find.

We made modifications to PayPal express recently, looks like it wasn't perfect.

Guys are looking into this now.

Edit: I'm told it has been rectified.

  • Not sure about this screen but the lack of DVI could be a deal breaker for some people.
I've just bought a Dell 2209WFP from Dell Outlet for $150 delivered to my door step. They have S1909 19" for around 150 also.
You got to keep an eye on their website and grab them quickly as good deals are gone within minutes.
