30% off All Bamboo Sheet Sets at Bamboo Bubby

30
CHEAPSHEETS

I follow this great page on Facebook who help kids with eczema and I noticed last night on a post they've just launched their new 100% bamboo sheet sets. I've wanted bamboo sheets like these for ages, but they're usually so expensive but Bamboo Bubby have 30% all sizes not just cot ones until 5th of May as part of a pre-order special.
I was so excited to save about $50 off our king size bed ones and $30 off cot ones for my bub!

  • so how much are they usually?

    otherwise this reads as SPAM

    • +1

      er maybe 30% more?

    • I must admit it has got that spammy ring to it!

      • Rep maybe? OP and bamboo bubbly both based in SA

    • The cot ones I bought are usually $99.95 and the king size ones were usually $169.95, so it's just a really good deal. Sorry I was so excited about saving so much, because I've wanted these for so long that I forgot to mention the prices!

  • How do Bamboo sheets compare to cotton? I love them in work sock form.

    • I'm really looking forward to trying them! I've felt some that a friend bought and they just feel really soft and smooth, a long softer than cotton. I have a baby with eczema and theyre supposed to be really good for them

Bamboo cotton sheets are quite simply, fantastic… All I have in my house since I tried them…

That said, Adairs have 600 thread count (as opposed to 300 here) Bamboo Cotton sheets for 5 cents cheaper (at least for the double sets— haven't checked the others), $139.90 delivered here:

      https://www.adairs.com.au/bedroom/sheets/home-republic/600tc…

No bargain here as far as I can see :/

      • the king size ones I just bought when I used the discount code came down to $118 from $169 - pretty good bargain to me and it was only $12.50 shipping for both my sheet sets, so I'm still pretty happy with this!

        • Ah, I stand corrected, cheaper here (although half the thread count) :)

        • That's ok I'm happy enough with 300 count sheets to give them a try out!

      • Those Adairs sheets aren't strictly bamboo sheets, they're 40% cotton.
The OP deal is 100% bamboo, so it's not a comparison.

  • The cot ones I bought are usually $99.95 and the king size ones were usually $169.95, so it's just a really good deal. Sorry I was so excited about saving so much, because I've wanted these for so long that I forgot to mention the prices!

  • Honestly, I hate when someone posts about bamboo cotton— generally it ends up with me impulse buying sheets, not necessarily from where is posted, but I go to check out the pricing for comparison and get myself some… The ones I ordered in January are still sitting wrapped inside my doorstep :)

  • That's weird. They're using "Bamboo" to refer to a cheap plastic called "Rayon" which you can make from bamboo fibre. These sheets are kind of expensive, and yet Rayon fabric is really cheap - it's like $3 per metre.

Thank God you signed up an hour ago to tell us about these excitingly-priced sheets!

    • I take it you mean:
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rayon#Controversies

But I don't see where on the webite you come to the conclusion that they're advertising Rayon as bamboo…

If you can point this out I would be grateful as I'm curious… (and also paranoid now coz I have bamboo sheets from a while ago and I'm like "what? is it rayon?")

Even when compared to other 'breathable' fabrics such as cotton and viscose rayon in the photographs below, bamboo is superior due to the spaces between the individual fabric fibres, allowing greater moisture absorption while at the same time allowing more air ventilation through the fabric.

thats the only reference i could find when searching the site for it. ive not got any bamboo stuff yet but it interests me so was curious enough to troll through the whole site trying to find what they ment. i think jongs comment was a little missleading but what he meant is its not fair to compare rayon at $3 to bamboo at $100 (or what ever they are worth)

        /me shrugs

  • Thread count is just one factor to consider, also consider weights and ply. - http://www.prweb.com/releases/2013/3/prweb10485567.htm

  • True enough, but I'll stick with a 600TC that I know is absolutely fantastic to sleep on Vs. 300TC that I don't know.

  • Do you have doona cover for cot? 90x120 or similar?
