What kind of plant is this? #2

So once again, mum was walking through the neighbourhood and spotted another plant that caught her eye.

We are currently redoing the whole front yard and finding some nice plants to go with it.

What is the name of that plant that is circled?

Thank you in advance

  • Nice plant, seen one before. Not sure of the name but I am pretty sure it is a succulent which will help you narrow it down.

    • I think it's a variety of the Aeonium

  • I think its a Kalanchoe Flapjack

    • Actually yep, Kalanchoe looks right.
      Maybe even a Kalanchoe thyrsiflora?

      • Yea, I think Flapjack is the commercial name

Please warn me when your mum comes walking through my neighbourhood so that I can hide my plants. Just kidding. :)

    • Lol. Nice to see you're interested in my topics

Would be embarrassing if my plants were identified on OzB as C. Sativa. ;)

If you want cheap entertainment for your mum, take her back past it daily. Those flower stems grow noticeably by the day. Sadly the plant dies after flowering, but produces offsets prior to flowering, which can be removed and planted on their own. They also produce a LOT of seed which germinates quite freely.

  • Flapjack, part of the suculant family.

  • Aldi are having specials on succulents next week including the one in the image. For around $6
