    Marshmallows ?

    • Yes please. How do you like yours cooked? I like to use them as a torch for a while.

The only problem is I'm downloading the book on my iPad but I wouldn't take my iPad camping. First World dilemmas…

    • Why not? Bring a solar powered USB charger along, or hand cranked. If you have the Cellular model, has built-in GPS as well.

    • Well it has been almost 9 months, so not technically a dupe, but free again. Ordered, but Amazon told me I had it already - from that deal. Still sitting in the cloud, unread.

Deb + Tuna + Cheese along with Toasted Jaffles. What else do you need?

    • That Deb stuff is disgusting. How can anyone bring themselves to eat it!

      • Done a lot of multi-day remote camping have we?

        DEB is "old school" camping.

Recently ate it during a week hiking in Tasmanian forest. Haven't had it for years. Handy to thicken sauces or addition to tastier fare. And it is light, filling, & cooks fast. Had the variety with onions.

There is a big difference in what you might eat around home (no way I would eat it) vs what you are willing to carry on your back for a week & cook quickly on a cold night in a tent.

        • Just remembered I had some DEB left over, so had a very quick 'midnight snack' with a bit of butter, sweet chilli sauce & shredded seaweed :-)
[Experimenting with camping food is best done at home.]

  • I didn't know Bon Scott liked to camp

    • I thought everyone knew "Highway to Hell" was inspired by a bad school camping trip.

  • Loving the trend now of posting both US and AU links. It's a pain to have to keep changing country, 1-click and VPN settings. Thanks
