I've missed out on a heap of deals on this baby but now (and only just now) i am financially comfortable to buy the asus t100. I'm eagerly waiting for a deal for it to be $450 or less. Do you think I would I be able to get something like that before EOFY or should I just suck up and pay the $499?

Amazon seems to be shipping it here now (including the version with the 500gb dock).
$347.99 (USD) for 64 GB;
$469.99 (USD) for 64 GB + 500gb dock (not completely sold on the price of this).
unfortunately the 32gb + 500gb dock does not seem to be available for shipping here.
Just make sure you use a 28 degrees or citibank plus card and avoid the additional commission your bank charges
Staticice has presumably grey imports from DWI at $445 now. If you can wait 6 weeks I think it is reasonable to expect somebody will beat that price in the EOFY sales.
I see Amazon has them for US$349, so a freight forwarder could be an option too.
