Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on iOS is the cheapest it's been yet. I haven't played it on iOS yet (played in on the original Xbox), but I've heard it's an fantastic port.

For those of you who aren't familiar with this game, it's made by Bioware and is essentially the precursor to Mass Effect, with a Star Wars license.

    The combat system is totally different than ME but I agree, it's excellent. The only game I see on iOS that I wish were available on Android.

    It mentions controller support. Is it reasonably playable on ipad with no extra hardware? No IAP or monthly fees, right?

      I believe it should be fine on the ipad - the PC ports of these games were playable completely using the mouse.

      The game is a third person RPG with turn based combat mechanics, unlike Mass Effect, which evolved into a third person RPG shooter. It has the same focus on characters and story as Mass Effect however.

    Are the graphics optimised for the Retina display? Looking at the screenshots it looks a bit pixelated compared to some other HD games.
