Beginner badminton racket

Hi all,

Just starting off again in Badminton since high school and am looking for suggestions of a good beginner racket that's not too expensive and also where to get in SE Melbourne?

Thanks.

  • oh please. that is for kids.
go to rebel but pick something $80-100-ish one. or, try to find some chinese sport shop, they will sell Yonex at decent price and you can feel safe to know they are real. dont buy from ebay.
other option, check gumtree, some player might want to upgrade and sell theirs at cheap price.
for brand, try get yonex, lining, victor, apac.

    • +1

I'dllike to know how to tell how it's for kids, the description doesn't mention it.

    • Greys are a really great brand and this Badminton racquet is exactly what OP was wanting. What's the problem?

    • where are the chinese places in sydney?

      looking for a some racquets…

  • There's a professional badminton place in Clayton,VIC called Badminton connect. They do low end yonex much cheaper than rebel. They also have other cheaper brands but good quality none the less. Worth checking out

    They also have a website

    www.kphsports.com.au

  • Thank you all for the help.

@Kruza: I checked out KPH Sports at their Vermont St store but didn't end up getting anythere there as it's a bit more than I wanted to spend to start off with. Ended up with a cheap-ish entry-level Yonex racket from Stadium Sports in Box Hill instead.

  • kphsports is generally cheaper than Stadium though. Were you only looking at Yonex?
