I always thought it meant someone was in the penalty box 2 weeks after posting first deal.

What does it mean? I'm going to assume I'm wrong and it goes L -> Red P. It's just the colour red makes it look like a warning/danger.

Nothing to do with the penalty box. You can only see if someone's been 'boxed by clicking on their user name.

One problem of saying "Began posting 2 weeks ago or less", is that the point of reference seems to be now, rather than the time deal was posted. When the deal was flagged Red-P or Green-P, the flag stays with the post regardless of current date/time.
For example someone posted his second deal within 2 weeks of his first deal, and the second deal marked with Red-P. 3 months later the Red-P still applies for that deal post, however "Began posting 2 weeks ago or less" would not be valid.
The proper description should be something like
This deal is posted within 2 weeks of first deal posted by OP
Although that would be quite wordy.
Doesn't it mean you must have zero blood alcohol concentration when posting a deal ?
