FREE Mobile Internet in Spain for Tourists (June to Sept)

670

Just found this, and what an incredible concept.

FreeClick is a TOTALLY FREE high speed (21Mbps) Internet service for tourists staying up to 15 days in Spain.

We all want 24/7 Internet access for our smartphones, tablets and laptops when traveling abroad. FreeClick delivers that at zero cost.

If only they had this last July when I was there! Great find though :)

    • Yeah, I was there last year, and ended up spending close to $200 on internet :/

    Spain's new tourism ad campaign.

"Come visit our country! We'll give you free internet to stare at your ipad and iphone for the entire duration of your trip! With free mobile internet, you can enjoy all the sights of spain available on the internet in the comfort of your hotel room!"

I wonder if I should post some deals of places that have free pizzas in Italy ???

    • +10

      Yes.

  • DW reported that Karsruehe has a similar all you can eat (but no streamed videos maybe), due to a happy cooperation with the local uni.

Improves access both for students and anybody else who wants to use it.

"Internet access is a basic human right…"

    Help make it so!

This a joke post? Deals being available in Australia is a pretty clear rule

    • +2

It says "DEALS that are available to Australia", not "in Australia".

      • Do they ship the modem to Australia?
While I do agree that these might be good deals for travelers , I believe they belong to the forum, maybe we can have a separate forum section about overseas deals. I agree with jv here, i know many places in Italy that have BOGOF pizza deals with online order and local pickup, but I don't think this is an (oz)bargain!

        • You put in a reservation and pick up your modem when you get there. Sensible.

So it's not available to people who are not going to Spain. How is that different from deals where you can't get it in your state?

        • I know TA, the same applies to that post and your "Gibraltar" post! This is my personal opinion, if ozbargainers and Mods prefer these deals to be posted here as bargains then it's fine, but I think this can trigger Pandora's box as we will be allowed to post any kind of overseas deal, for example: let's say I find a very chew mobile wifi router in Italy for $10 with 5GB of data for 30 days that I'm able to purchase online and pick it up when I arrive to Fiumicino Airport. Is that a valid bargain for Ozbargain?

        • Why not label it the same way we do for deals only in certain states, e.g. [Spain]?

Such deals aren't likely to get many votes anyway, just like deals that name a particular suburb in a state.

        • and your "Gibraltar" post!

          My post?

OOPS Sorry TA, my sugar level must be too low, or I have seen so many(good) deals from you lately that your name/avatar comes to my mind every time i think of ozbargain :)

OzBargainers, please be careful if you're considering this deal and always check the fine print. For visitors to Pamplona in July the 21Mbps stands for 21Maraudingbullspersecond.

    Spanish-made paella, though. Yum!!!

  • A total of 15.000 free kits are available for a total of 7mill visitors so we do recommend to make your reservation as soon as possible.

    All booked out for June.

  • Perfect, thank TA I'll be in Spain in July for the running of the bulls

  • Spain really can't afford to be giving anything away… Good deal, mobile internet is pricey there

    • +1

Presumably they figure that this will help attract visitors and they might spend more. Anyway that's up to them to decide.

  • Ha like the Q & A…

"Will devices work out of Spain ?
No. Devices will only work with our operator. Can you hack it to work abroad ? Probably yes, but every unit is hardware serialized and linked to the user information (passport no.)."

  • Schweet. I'll be there in Sept so this is absolutely perfect! Thanks OP

    • Ditto! :D

  • Thanks OP. I'll be there for the Running of the Bulls festival (amongst other things) so this will be incredibly useful to me!

Please put this deal to good use and use itto post a selfie while running with the bulls.

      • +2

        Will do!

  • +1 for picture

  • Oh - why start June, I'm there later this month and this would be great

  • Perfect, holiday is booked for September so I reserved mine!
