USB drives not appearing in the Send To menu. How to fix?

I have a fresh install of windows 7 on a desktop computer, I plug in a usb flash drive or hard drive, it appears in My Computer fine, I can transfer files to and from it, but it doesn't show up in the 'Send To' context menu. For example if i right click a file and want to copy it to the usb drive, you go down to Send To and usually the USB drive is at the bottom of the list.

I had a bit of a Google but couldn't find anything.
Any ideas how to fix it?

  • i understand your pain. but can only suggest opening a new window for the USB drive and D&D.

Yeah that's what I've been doing. Just curious as to why its happening, its very odd, I've never experienced it before..

      • Just use Teracopy. It gives you a nifty shortcut to your context menu and allows easy copying or moving of files to any destination (or favourite destination)
