eBay stock / inventory management help please?

Hi everyone,

I am pretty slow to catch up with new technologies and ways of doing things, was hoping to get some help from fellow eBay sellers here on OzB regarding stockings and inventory on my eBay store.

What I have been doing is just viewing stock as a buyer would, go through every listing and click on every size of the item to check stock (or go to revise a listing - edit quantity and check, I find the find the first option faster). And then, go to revise every listing and change quantity. Good thing, it does remind me of the difficult times in the 90s struggling with the limitation of Windows 95. Bad thing, takes too much time. There are no reminders and alert or anything, so I don't know when stock are low on eBay. Hard to imagine how an eBay store with 1000s of items do it..

Contacted eBay for help and they told me what I've been doing is correct, thats the only way.

I tried the inventory thing, but it just doesn't update the quantity after sales.. or maybe I am doing it wrong?

How is everyone doing it? Do you do the same, or do you keep a separate spreadsheet (and manually update it after every sale) or something else?

Thank you all
