  • Good search on ozbargain would have given you answer..but u can try amaysim $19 per month plan

  • Agreed, I did extensive research when Crazy Johns flatchat finished up. I choose Amaysim PAYG.

  • Depends on your usage. No point getting a 400minute deal if you don't make calls

  • Aldi is not as cheap as the ones mentioned above, but they use Telstra network

    • None mentioned aldi above. Having said that, i was with Amaysim and was able to keep my mobile data network on all time and at the end of month it was around 400MB only. But Optus coverage is very poor in my area, so i switched to Aldi. I get excellent connection and data speed even inside house and office. But yes Aldi is costly so i don't keep my network data connection ON all time, but i keep it on for few minutes 4-5 times a day….

      • I was with Three and Optus before too, on $60 a month contracts, but realizing I dont use much, so I opted for quality instead. By watching what I use closely, Aldi's $15 lasted me more than a month. Win.

Considering it is using Telstras network, it is only a fraction the cost of what Telstra normally charge. I find their plans quite flexible. If you dont use phone a lot, its only $15 to receive calls for a year. If you use a lot, bolt on an M or L value pack and you are good to go for a month. Cant see myself spending over $20 a month really.

        • Actually what i realized is you can have 365 validity for $5 on Aldi. I bought sim starter pack for $5 and it came with $5 credit. When i activated it and checked, its expiry is 365 days from the day i started using it…So best for people who only wants to receive call…$5 = 365 days of Telstra network…

        • Amaysim… As You Go Plan… Optus network.
$0 upfront… only need to use once every 3 months @ 11c per minute with $0 flagfall.
          Amaysim… just to receive calls… 44c year… :-)

  • i just need it mainly for calls i don't need the data.

  • as intimated in your opening: optus leads the charge for boringly-basic, 2g-like voice plans in aus.
