Looking for good bargain tips for Florida Disney park tickts, accomodation + cruise trip

We're planning a family trip end of year to Florida Disney + cruise and already sorted flights.
Would appreciate any ideas/ tips on getting bargains/ discounts for Park tickets, accommodation, meals and cruise.

Heard contacting a local travel agent my be a good option as they know the local bargains. Also heard of good bargains for combining 'Land & Sea packages' but unsure how to get them.

Thanks in advance

  • Depending on what dates when you are going and if you want to stay on property at Disneyworld, have a look at renting points for the disney vacation club. This site www.dvcrequest.com offers them. I am a dvc owner and we love it. They offer hotel, rooms and 1 and 2 bedroom villas.

    • How much do you save doing it this way as oppossed to booking it directly through Disney? It was $3500 in september for 1 week, is that the norm? Sorry if it's a silly question never been to USA or Disneyland, but would like to go in the next couple of years.

  • +1

I am going to orlando in June we are staying in a 7 bedroom house in a gated resort approx 20 minutes to Disney / universal that I found through vrbo. Air bnb also have a lot of these too. For the 14 of us the total is $3600 for 10 days. There are cheaper options but this has everything. We wanted our own pool and spa because my sister has young kids who might want to stay at the house a bit.
For tickets I bought our universal pass from undercover tourist but the Disney pass was just a cheap to buy direct from Disney.

  • A one bedroom villa at disneys old key west would cost around $2200 $us other resorts range from $2000 to $3500

  • We have been to Disney World twice and on a Disney Cruise as well. For Disney World both times we stayed at the Walt Disney Swan & Dolphin. Although technically they are not "Disney" property hotel, you are still within walking distance of EPCOT and you also get the same benefits as staying IN a Disney Property Hotel but much cheaper.

    • Transport to all parks (Bus + Water Taxi) We took the Water Taxi to all parks except for the Water parks which are further away.
    • Free delivery from all Disney stores back to Hotel
    • Extra/Bonus Hours into Disney

They have some really good specials e.g Book for 6 nights stay for 5 etc. We found them much better value than any of the other other On-Site Disney Properties.

    Definatley worth checking out http://www.swandolphin.com/offers/

You will see how close the actual resort is to all the parks.

Now in terms of cruises not sure if you were aware but there is also a Disney Cruise line(is this is what you meant when you said a cruise?)

This website is very helpful http://www.wdwinfo.com/discounts/discounts-cruise.htm#dreams there is a company called Dreamsunlimited and they give you onboard credit if you book the cruise through them.

Also on the website there is a forum specific to cruises, hotels, transportation and anything Disney really which I found very useful when planning everything. You will pick up some great ideas and also meet people along the way. You can bet your bottom dollar there will be a cruise meet as well for whichever one you choose to go on if that is your kind of thing.

We recently went on the Disney Fantasy and that was great. We don;t even have kids and was still great!

Hopefully some of this helps. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM.
