The big question you should be asking is why do I need supplements? A supplement should be just that - "supplement" any deficiencies in normal diet.

Aim for 1.5 grams / kg bodyweight of protein per day. any more then this and you are only going to excrete it in your urine and waste your money. As part of your intake a good portion should come directly after your workout. You can get all your protein needs from your regular diet but some people pefer the convince of a shake after a session or can't stomach food - but don't see it as a necessity.

If you still think a protein supplement is for you go for a pure whey protein isolate (WPI) (fast absorbing). Bulk nutrients is your best value here as others have stated. Always check the label to see what your getting, many companies will fill with Whey Protein Concentrate (WPC) (cheaper and not as fast absorbing) or other fillers that reduce the amount of protein / 100g serve but charge a premium because of the marketing around their product.

Most of the other supplements on the market are a waste of money not backed up by proper research. Creatine monohydrate will help with strength/power activities and also increase your body weight due to the added water retention (drink lots of water when you take it). If you want a pre-workout just save your money and take something caffeine based (cofee/redbull etc)
