Cheapest flights to get to Palestine?

Hey guys,

Not a troll. Planning on going to Palestine at the end of June. Need to be there before July 1st. Coming back around September (very flexible here). Can't leave Melbourne earlier than the 25th though. In the past flying to Amman has been the cheapest means but Tel Aviv is also a possibility.

Have searched many of the recommended search engines/ airlines etc. Average is around 2.7k. However, getting a cheap AirAsia ticket somewhere then connecting looks promising but is much harder to organise, more hassle/risk of delay or cancellations etc.

Obviously not a very popular route so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Many many thanks,

  • It probably really depends on whether you're headed to Gaza or the WB. What are you headed there for and how much are you willing to extend travel time to save a buck?

    remember to write your will.

    • ahah mate WB is actually a fairy developed place. They have a surprising good standard of living. Don't believe everything the media spews at you..

  • A few people in Western Sydney might be better to ask.

Cheap flight to Egypt and then straight through the smuggling tunnels. Oz-bargain style.

    • Flights to Egypt aren't cheap! Thinking of flying into Amman via a cheap ticket to Bangkok.

  • I think the Air Asia idea is the best if you can. From KUL airlines like Kuwait and Qatar can get you to AMM for about $1000 return.
