  • $1 less at Good Guys. Maybe $2 if you pay cash :)

  • I bought this model from appliancesonline for $285 back in 2011. They price matched somewhere plus gave a bit of discount.

It was a good dryer until after almost 2 year when it burnt. House was full of smoke and now I understand why my parents kept telling me to not leave the house when the dryer is on lol

I dont mind Simpson brand though as our cheap washer just died after 15 years or so.

  • Be sure you have a warranty too with Harvey Norman… Oh too soon?

    • why too soon?

      • Well you have to be careful, poor old grandpa Gerry may have another cry… :)

Sensor….I.e it senses when clothes are dry.
More expensive but saves a fortune in electric as your clothes may only take (say) 45 minutes to dry…on. This machine you can online select a fixed time and leave it….too short, wet clothes……too long, dry clothes but wasted elastic-trickery.

At around 50-70+ cents in electric for a typical 1 hour dry, that soon adds up.
    Let's math a bit
    2 drys a week at 50 cents
    52 weeks a year….that's $52. In electric a yeas.
A sensor will easily save 1/4 of that

More people will use it more than that.so you'll save anywhere from $13 in electric a year!!

(My sensor machine suggests 220kwh per year taken average, that's maybe $80 in electric,
Our old non sensor machine suggested 330kwh)

We just got a 5kg Sensor Rear Venting Dryer - but it was 448 from JB HIFI.

It performs and if like us you have no place to vent it externally, you get a free sauna included when it's running!

Also, it wasn't until we got it that I actually read the care instructions on clothes and realised 99% of the item we wash state 'do not tumble dry'.

Still, our towels were never so fluffy! :)
