Battery charger for AA battery's

I am going to buy some more rechargeable AA battery's. I've been reading on here about eneloops, so that seems the way to go. I know this subject has been brought up a before, sorry, but I want to get a really good charger to go with them. What are your suggestions. I will be using the battery's in my flash unit for my camera.
Thanks

  • La Crosse BC-700 is very well thought of for recharging eneloops

Check past bargains for where to buy one, I picked it up on Amazon a while back and it's been working great.

  • I use a Maha C9000 I purchased from Protog a few years ago now. It's not cheap but has plenty of options. I do an initial test on my cells when I receive them and have also cycled all my old cells to help me pair equal cells in devices.

If cells are no good it won't charge them, so these go back to my previous charger to be abused and used in kids toys without low battery warnings plus their torches that never get turned off.

I have just purchased a hobby charger which is cheaper but will require extra hardware for charging and has different pros/cons.

Also checkout the Turnigy LSD cells. These are the cells I use and my last tests show my oldest least cared for cells (18months) are still at minimum 2200mAh. I can't compare to eneloops as I haven't used them.

  • Thanks for your help. I'm sorry that I took so long to get back to you both, but I have been away for a week. Thanks again.
