Little Creatures Pale Ale $39.99/Carton at Costco Crossroads (Casula), NSW

560

Little Creatures Pale Ale 24-bottle (330 mL) cartons are currently available for $39.99 at Costco Crossroads (Casula, NSW). Not sure about other Costcos. Use-by dates on inventory I saw were 08/08/14 and 04/09/14, which is much longer than it takes me to drink a carton of beer.

This is a great Australian beer, and usually sells for over $60/carton from Dan Murphy's or Liquorland. Previous Costco price was $55, I think, so this is at least a $15 discount.

I also saw brewed-in-Belgium Stella Artois cans (330 mL) at $29.99/24-can carton, not quite as good as the recent price from Melbourne, and I didn't check the use-by date as I was too busy filling my trolley with Little Creatures.

wow, cant even get it in Perth for this price, usually $60+ per carton!!

    • I thought they moved production over to the East coast? I know there's a couple of breweries in VIC now…

      • +1

They have a brewery in Geelong and Fremantle, both are still used.

I'm almost more keen for Costco to open in Adelaide than Aldi, considering these insane booze specials

Can anyone confirm this in other states costco?
    thanks

    • Or can anyone confirm if Dan Murphys will price match?

      • I was talking to a guy at Costco once in the alchohol section about this. He said the Dan's he goes to is willing to price match if you show them your membership card. Pointless to go to Dan's if you are an active member unless you see a deal like this and you are a long way from Costco but your Costco card never gets updated unless it wears out or breaks so if you are a lapsed member it is worth a try (or you can borrow a membership card from someone so long as Dan's don't look at the picture too closely). Dan's may also deny you if there is not a Costco close by.

  • cheapest in the world.
    never seen this cheap.
    tasty

  • nice beer

OP, do you have a docket for price match @ Dan's or 1st Choice?

Had to get it out of the trash, but luckily I had just changed the bin liner and there was nothing gross in there yet ;-)

Best of luck, let us know if you succeed - I had heard that Dan's and First Choice will not price match Costco, due to the membership requirement…

If anyone's a big Little Creatures fan, the savings on 4 cartons will pay for the annual membership fee.

Cannot price match in Perth although it is from Freo.

    • A bit like how Coopers beer is cheaper in NZ than it is in Adelaide. I can only assume WA must be getting a Costco soon too?

      • i read we arn't getting Costco until they see how the new stores fair in the other states first :(

  • Great beer at a great price.

Wonder how long the sale lasts? QLD's North Lakes Costco doesn't open till May 29th.

    • +1

Don't think Costco will be selling alcohol in QLD. Something to do with state legislation.

      • Yea that sounds familiar, damn!

I wanna neg this bargain out of jealousy….

My local Costco opens up in 5 days but due to QLD law…no booze. (Sigh).

  • Just bought 3 cartons, heaps left at Casula,

  • +1

Yeah picked up my carton too. Still at least 50-60 cartons left, if not more.
Hope it's always same price from now on. No indication of a mark-down.

  • Doubt it hence the three carton purchase lol

Great beer, one of Australia's best

Dan's around the area have matched the price. For everyone else, set your store as 2170, try showing your phone in store, who knows. Last time I got the Don Julio for under $50 when the special was only in NSW (I'm in VIC).

    • Clever

  • Just picked up three cartons from Casula, plenty of stock left.
