Been circling for the best price on any of the Seagate Central's, % off sales, catalogues and its been pretty bare with activity on these lines (Apart from rip-off prices at DSE and others).
2TB currently sits cheapest at $159 - Officeworks and a few other online retailers. DSE adverting at $179???
3TB currently sits cheapest at $198 - Officeworks, not a lot of retailers are carrying this model as I guess 3TB is the awkward middle size. But is my preference in terms of dollars and size.
4TB currently sits cheapest at $244 - Online retailers but add in delivery jacks it up, so cheapest is CPL Online @ $255 pick up. Officeworks sits at $279, will price match CPL and will come in at $242.
Ideally I didn't want to spend in excess of $200 and ideally wanted the 3TB @ $179 but no luck with negotiating the price down.
I know JB sometimes have 20% off Seagate sales etc but I haven't seen anything. Anyone got some inside knowledge or know where I can get a better price than the above?
2TB = $79.50 per GB
3TB = $66 per GB
4TB = $60.50 per GB
Looking for one myself. OW has the best price on the 2TB from what I can find, the nest best would be to keep an eye on ebay if you have the patience. I was going to get the WD Mybook, but the Seagate Central has a Samsung smart tv app which is pretty appealing for me.
