Best way to package wine bottles for postage?

Hi guys,

I've got to ship a few wine bottles to customers and wanted your opinion on what is the best way to package them to make sure that Australia Post doesn't destroy them but I still make a little profit?

I've tried the Aus Post wine boxes but they aren't that great. I've tried plenty of bubble wrap on the ends to good success but still have had a few mishaps.. What are your suggestions?

Thanks!

    wooden wine box?

Otherwise i'd bubble wrap them, then put in a large box.

  • packing peanuts?

wine into a wine box then into a bigger box with peanuts around it.

Do you ship often with in AU? else use another courier such as fastway.

    • Will definitely try that though I am a little concerned peanuts would be quite expensive to use. Yes, I only ship within Australia. I ship each business day. Do you think couriers handle parcels better? I've never tried them before. Thanks for your input!

  • It depends on how many you're shipping, 3-6, I'd be using a normal wine box (IE: the 6 bottle boxes you buy wine in)… We ship wines with AU Post and it works out ok…

    • Hey, Just 1 or 2 max each time unfortuantely. We have had a 4% damage rate which isn't too bad I guess.

  • Aust Ppost have single and double wine boxes too… They are self-centering. I've never shipped them, but I've received them packed with scotch before.
