Where is the Chromecast?

I got excited about the rumour that DS was going to sell it from tomorrow.
Now there is no sign it is the case and nobody is talking about it.
I called DS and someone put me through to a supervisor, she told me she would get back to me if she found information about this. But it is unlikely to be tomorrow.

Anybody knows where the gadget is now?

    I saw Ausdroid has quite a few blog posts on it. It claimed that Dick Smith already has it in stock, is shipping the pre-order and JB Hi-Fi is also getting them in.

    We'll see tomorrow.

    I don't think it would be tomorrow though. Until now many of their employees seem not to know what a Chromecast is…

    Apparently the Chromecast has been officially released in Australia.

    Maybe we should be patient and wait until the morning, but as of 0018h, the Google Play Devices page still says "Chromecast is not available in your country".

      Now to wait for a 12% discount coupon to bring the price down. $50 is a bit too much to pay.

    I got my Chromecast from DSE today. Fun little piece of equipment.
