Hi everyone. Just thought I'd share my experience with smile.com.au. We joined smile as my husband had a decent amount of dental work to get done and we don't have extras insurance.
The plan claims savings of "up to 40%" with a minimum saving of 15%. We paid $97 for a family plan (myself, husband, and our daughter).
So far I've had a checkup & clean and saved $68 on a $210 bill, and my husband's had a root canal (reason for joining) and saved $442 on a $1250 dental bill. So far we've saved over $1300 at the cost of $97, and I know I will have at least one more checkup before next year.
Just thought I would share here as a decent alternative since we have recently gotten rid of extras.

Working well, the money we have saved form smile has more than paid for the 2 year membership and I get a further 60% back on all Dental as I also have extras with HBF for about $38 a month for three of us.
