I signed up for UberX in first week of May and then I received warning letter from Road and Maritime services to advise me that I could receive fine up to $110,000 if I am caught driving on Uberx as it's illegal business.
I am wondering how they came to know that I am using Uberx when I never drove a car while the App is on. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Did you submit a full applicaiton? get your background checked etc?
Yes I completed a form to complete background check and handed itto Uber representative.
Since I never went on road, I am surprised my details are available with RMS.
Well, i think uber do a driving record check. Which must be done with RMS, hence why RMS know you're a potential driver for uberX.
I want uberX to succeed, I hate taxies so much.
