[Freight Forwarder] Rogaine Topical Solution 3 Pack USD $31.99 + State Sales Tax + Shipping

Moved to Forum: Original Link

I found a pretty good deal for anyone wanting to stock up on this hair regrowth stuff. You'll need to have a re-shipper or forwarding service (e.g. myus.com) or use a friend's or family's US address. Obviously this means you need to factor in shipping costs to Australia which will vary.

Use the coupon code for an additional US$8.00 off the already reduced price of US$39.99. I paid sales tax of $2.59 for Nevada. Shipping within the US is free.

Coupon offer ends June 07, US time (order by June 06, AU time).

Does the product work? Think this is for the genetic hair loss only - does not help with hairline receding.

Recall seeing this in chemist here for some ridiculous price - $100 per month, $299 for 3 month supply.
In US, a Safeway one is $30 for 3 months supply.
Think this is a good price for Rogaine.

It's for male pattern baldness. Jury's still out on whether it helps in the temple areas, but it's proven to be effective on regrowth on the crown. Works best with early intervention.

It does work but the rub is that if you stop using it, regrown hair goes away. You have to keep up treatments to maintain regrowth.

Age gracefully, crap like this is ultimately a waste of money.

      • Do you think what the insert says (the regrown hair goes away when stop using the product)
is it fact or myth? keep buying or fairy will take your hair away at night.

Several things. Minoxidil based products are overpriced in Australia. Amazon generally has a range of them available, but again, Amazon rarely ships Pharaceutical products and Supplements overseas, so, as you say, Forwarders are necessary. You would need to try Ebay if you want someone to ship directly to Australia.

I prefer the foam form of Minoxodil. I have receding hairline rather than vertex balding, and I find that Minoxodil seems to be stopping further hair loss but not regrowing my lost hair. Still better than becoming an egg head.

In the USSA there is also a generic brand produced by Kirkland that is equivalent to Rogaine.

Keep it away from cats, apparently minoxodil is toxic to them. Taken systematically it causes arterial dilation in mammals - it is powerful stuff, initially used to treat certain types of hypertension in humans, when they discovered people taking it for hypertension became hirsute :)

"Still better than becoming an egg head"

Way to insult those who have lost their hair….

let me see spending a fortune each year to keep what hair you have left because you cant accept losing it, even though nothing grows back, having to waste time applying this crap every single day, knowing that you are being ripped off and lining pharmaceutical companies pockets because of your own insecurity, knowing that if you cant afford to buy it any more that your going to loose what you have been desperately clinging on to….well I am not really sure that is "better than becoming an egg head"…that type of behaviour makes me think of another type of head which I'm too much of a gentleman to say here.

that type of behaviour makes me think of another type of head which I'm too much of a gentleman to say here

My bet is that it's short for Richard...

        • Hardly a fortune. Maybe $15 for a foam canister that lasts me 3 months. People spend more on sporting events, music concerts, restaurants, alcohol, gambling, coffees, movies and so on.

If you are aging gracefully like you claim, you wouldn't be bashing those of us you have some hair left and don't wish to become completely bald. So sound very bitter, definitely not someone who is pleased about their baldness or about growing old.

"Crap" - minoxodil works for some people, so it is definitely not expensive placebo garbage. It takes 90 seconds to apply, much faster than shaving takes. All of your attacks upon me are unfounded.

Women spend heaps of money on skin products, so why shouldn't metrosexual men spent a little on hair products.

We all get old, our bodies do run down, but that don't excuse us from taking take of ourselves, eating responsible, exercising, and so on.

        • Hey Thaai,

Just a couple of things to correct you.

I didn't attack you what I said was you insulted people without hair.

I didn't mention anything about growing old gracefully

What I did, was reference the insult "Still better than becoming an egg head" and simply put forward another view that suggested that someone else may think its better to become an egg head than someone who fights to cling on to what they have left.

Obviously you will have your own view and belief of the meaning behind my comments but that does not constitute an insult.

I actually have a full head of hair and not even a receding hairline so I don't know how you formed your opinion of me being bitter and not pleased about getting old or being bald, that's actually very funny.

But please feel free to continue to insult me, its quite entertaining.

I believe most of that vitriol was aimed at me, maybe the reply button under my post further up was too difficult to click so he chose yours instead or maybe it was a reply to my second post but addressed stuff from my first and included a response to you as well! Confused yet?

If it was for me, he's spot on with his assumptions (old, bitter and bald, did I miss anything?) but left out the club foot, hair lip and the bit about me living in my moms basement along with any other mindless clichés anyone can think of to include.

Looking closer, first paragraph was for you, second and third appear to be for me and the rest looks to be unidentifiable dribble for the sake of it but we've probably all been guilty of that at some point.

Good quality made in USA Wahl clipper set about $80. Should last 10+ years. Just give yourself a buzz cut and move on. Bloody first world problems.

went to costco in hawaii and the costco branded on (kirkland) was 17.99 for 6 months….
    crazy!

  • cough finasteride cough
easier to take a pill than lotions.

    • True, quicker and eaier to take. But finasteride is a dihydrotestosterone inhibitor, so it make you less manly, reduced fertility and libido, and so on. Also finasteride required a prescription. With minoxodil/Rogaine one doen't have to worry about becoming a little limp wristed.
