  • Only if there was free shipping. I saw a 4GB Transcend at Australia Post for $14.

yep, i picked up two of them yesterday from the post office - better value than this!

  • Not good. I will get the similar price Transcend or Sandisk any day but not the Kingston. It is sooooooooooo slowwwwwwwwwww.

    • -1

Yeah the Transcend from AuPost are much faster than these Kingstons and Sandisks are flawless as usual. Even the DSE sticks are go better than these

Would be a good deal if not for shipping.

  • MSY is only $13 for Kingston 4GB … they always have heavy shipping fee, not a good deal at all

  • Yeah, but what if you want to buy 50 of them for ZFS :P

  • not a bargain if shipping is included.

  • $5.99 shipping for the first and $3 for each additional unit is over the top IMHO.

Worse still, I tried combining it with something else and the additional shipping came up at full cost of $5.99 - maybe it gets corrected at checkout!

What gets my goat is that this item is tiny. The actual cost of shipping this item is very small indeed, and I don't think that a product retailing for $8-95 really requires insurance.

Shopping square could reduce shipping by $5 and still recover their costs. A large part of the $5.99 should really be shown as part of the product price…because it is definitely not going towards covering shipping costs.

I wonder if this deal would have been posted at all, if it had read "$13.95 + $1 shipping" ??

  • No deal

  • Even with free postage, no deal.

    • Only worthed if free postage, which its not

  • the thing is how often are you transfering large amounts of data? i bought one these about a year ago and the number of times i needed a usb would be >10 times a year. i find my external come in handy most of the time it replaces any usb flash drive and then some. 2.5" 320GB drives ussually $120 for the better ones, you can't beat 30 cents a GB.
