Was looking for a MicroSD card and found this on Amazon, seems pretty good value for a new(ish) card.
Heck of a lot cheaper than what I can find in Perth and cheapest I found on ebay was $52 I think. So still a good 10% saving if you're looking for something along these lines.

Shipping to Perth worked out for me to be
AUD $39.54 - Micro sd card
AUD $5.67 - Shipping
AUD $45.21 - Total

cheers,

  • what's the the real world read and write for this card? as good as a sandisk, or more like a Kingston/transcend second tier make?

    • A few customers in the comments have posted their benchmarks. They seem to differ slightly depending on the hardware used to read the micro sd, but it seems decently quick for the price.

Good thing about amazon is for pretty much everything someone in the comments has benchmarked it.

    • Not sure if it makes a difference but read that samsung phones are a bit temperamental with their sd cards and Samsung branded ones won't fry…
More than fast enough for my needs tho, class 4 maybe be a bit too slow.

  • What does EVO mean ? In terms of sd cards.

    • +3

It means it has a fully sik paint job. Orange and white, in this case.
      It's not necessarily fast, though.

The new EVO Series replaces the old PLUS series. whereas the PRO series name is the same or aka PRO-APC.

  • For those interested, Target is currently doing same spec Emtec branded ones for $40. Cheaper and local stock. Dunno about their performance though.

    • Cheaper ?
Most of Australia can have the advertised card for $39

amazon is my go-to place for memory cards…buying a MicroSD card with adapter adds something like 5 US cents to your order if already ordering stuff from them. I bought the 32GB evo the other day. Should be good. Usually amazon really push Transcend so it is nice to see some competitive Samsung love.

  • Would these suit a gopro hero3+? Its not in their recommended list:

    • any class 10 card will work mate

  • Got one, thanks
