    • Really? Haighs taste like Cadbury to me.. Their quality's fallen over the past few years. It used to be smoother but not anymore.

+1 for godiva to Yogapants one post underneath me

Haigh's in QVB and Godiva Chocolate in DJ's Food Hall in Market st. You can buy blocks of godiva choccies as gifts, much yummier and cheaper than the individual pieces.

Bon Bon's in QVB. San Churros milk chocolate is terrible, I would avoid that.

    i like kokoblack

available from thomas dux in sydney
or in store from canberra or melbourne

    however…not the cheapest things

    • kokoblack is so good! love the hot chocolate there. brings back good memories of melbourne.

  • This shop is from the blue mountains, but they have a sydney cbd store now.

  • if you want to buy Aussie made then Haighs and Zokoko (small but but premium chocolate maker) are the only ones that actually make them from bean to bar. All others import Belgian Chocolate and then value add the truffles and fillings. It's not cheap- an 85g bar of choc is around $12 for single origin and they have various other filled chocolates. I live close enough to Zokoko to drive and buy my fix of choice-they are at Emu Plains-but they are on the web if you want to suss them out.

  • My girlfriend loves chocolate as well. I usually get her

I usually buy chocolate from Coles

  • (Tassie) I usually get chocolate from Shiploads whenever they have it available. Stocked up and got 2kg (32 boxes) of the Cadbury Honeycomb fingers for about $5 around 6 or 7 months ago, only about half way through now, shared between 3 people. Thank god they don't expire for a long time :) Other times they have standard Cadbury blocks for $2 and Mousse blocks for $1.12

  • thanks guys for your suggestion,
will give Godiva and Haigh's a go. I saw great reviews about them.

    • You'll find a substantial price difference between Haighs and Godiva… Haighs is much cheaper (but still beautiful choccie imo)
