I've been waiting for the Stanley compressor to go on sale again and now Supercheap have their Stanley 2.5HP Belt Drive Air Compressor on sale again for $399 (save $350) starting on the 11th of June.
Bunnings have a Spear & Jackson Project Air 50L 2.5HP Belt Drive Air Compressor for $449 rrp.
I reckon that the $399 is closer to the "real" price of the Stanley model as it's just a re-badge (yet a fairly good quality one though).
I have no idea though concerning the Spear & Jackson model.
Any of you guys out there have any experience with air compressors and also with these particular models?
I'd like to know how the Spear & Jackson compares to the Stanley model.

I don't have a belt drive compressor but the Spear & Jackson direct drive compressor that I bought from Bunnings 2 years ago is now pretty much useless.
