99designs

99designs is the world’s largest custom design marketplace. Every day, thousands of clients come to 99designs to create briefs for design projects: web pages, banner advertising, social media pages, mobile apps and more.
Fill in 99designs’ online design brief, and choose how much you'll pay. Designers compete to win the money in what we call a design contest. They submit designs, and you give them feedback. Together, you polish the designs over 7 days. Choose the design you love best – the designer gets the prize money, and you get a gorgeous new design.

What is a Power Pack?

A Power Pack upgrade makes your design contest stand out from the crowd. 99designs will bold your listing, highlight it with a prominent background and feature it before regular listings. On average, this results in nearly 2X the design submissions from our community of more than 300,000 graphic designers worldwide.

    • I can definitely recommend 99designs. i have used then a couple of times and have got exceptional results.
Though, i usually step up from the $299 package as some of the good designers stay away from these.

Also, if it hasn't changed, you only pay if you like a design they come up with. not happy, don't pay.

i have had no dealing with SavvySME, so I won't vote, but it looks like a reasonable deal.

  • "I often hear from young designers who are tempted to take part in logo design contests so that they can earn some money. They ask if it's a good way to break into the design profession and build their portfolios.

The reality is that only one party will benefit from design contests, and that's the owner of the website hosting them. Online logo design contests are spec work - and by spec work I mean giving away your intellectual property in the mere hope of getting paid. Designers have just as much of a right to get paid as any other professional, so don't believe the hype that these contest website owners push. They aim to make a profit by persuading you to give your work away for free. By doing so, you devalue the time and effort you have spent in getting where you are.

You might think that clients who host contests get value for money, but what they are presented with is a collection of designs made within minutes, with little to no regard for the goals, history, or completion of their business. There's a slim chance the client might see a design that appeals to her tastes, but will it appeal to the tastes of her company's audience? That's what you are paid to research."
