My mother didn't hit 'End Call' when she rang me and it wasn't for another 70 minutes that i noticed it.
Is there a app for android that will automatically disconnect the phone if there is no voice coming though the phone or some other app that may do a simular thing. I have searched google but couldn't find anything

Alternative suggestion… a flip phone… when she closes it the call ends. They are very cheap.
How about u end the call whenever your mum calls u? I hope by u ending the call your mum's phone end it too.

No, sorry to say that on my mums phone(telstra T81), that the connection stays open on the person who rings, if they don't hit 'end call'. I tested it out and the connection does stay open, i don't know why, i think its a way for telstra to make more money
