      What do you think "crumbling of the plastic" means?

  • Showing as $399 for me. Better off spending an extra couple hundred and looking for a secondhand MacBook Pro with metal case. These are plastic ones ex-lease, chances are they will be scratched to hell and back.

    It's going to be extremely well used. The battery life will probably be shot, and you might be able to only use it as a desktop replacement.

  • I can't see great value for money. Its probably 4+ years old. For the same kind of money you can get a three year old Business Class Dell in a metal case (not Plastic), i5 processor (1-2 gen above a core Duo).

    If you really need a Mac, can you save a little more and buy a refurb Air?
