  • 2 X Taylors Pea and Zucchini Soup (From May and June Box)

Yep my box was laced with that as well :-). Like sticking a chunk of kryptonite in there.

Maybe a better thread would be 'alternative uses for Pea and Zucchini Soup'. Cat & Dog repellant?

    • You didn't like it?? I thought it sounded pretty bad, but it is actually pretty good.

      • Im not a zucchini person :)

        • +3

I gave it to my vegetarian sister. What was she going to do, ask for some bacon? No feed back yet.

      • Not a Pea person or a Zucchini person but I will try on your recommendation.

    • :O

Pea and zucchini soup sounds genuinely delicious.

The kids of OzBargain don't eat vegetables…they only consume supplements & junk food! :P

I thought they just ran on eneloops.

    • Ah I was super glad I got the Minestrone… it was amazing.

Me aswell , looking forward to this months box , its like getting a present every month :-)

  • +2

we should get the boxes by the end of this week or start of next week

  • +3

I have only got the first box so far, but if they keep the range and quality up for a few months, I'll switch to the yearly payment.
    Must be hurting pinchme badly.
It's interesting to me that they have found a model to make money from samples/tests that makes me, as a consumer, open to contributing to some of their costs, and presumably making money from the manufacturers.
    Good on them.

    • Do you reckon they're making money on this service? Rep sounds a little stressed at the moment.

      • Why do u say the Rep. is stressed out?Maybe she's flat out? I still haven't gotten my box, hope I will this month.

        • Why do u say the Rep. is stressed out?

Probably because every time someone comes with a problem, only reply is " Ill refund your $5" or "Ill cancel you membership if you want to"

She has no interest in resolving problems, which i see is bad customer service, especially if you trying to build up your company from scratch.

Thanks OP. Never heard of redpawpaw.
Your post made me curious so I checked out their site.
    fascinating.
we are going to get on board :)
    ta.

    • Think they have closed subscriptions for now, too many people got on early so might be a bit of a wait.

  • I just checked their website sadly it doesn't deliver to my postcode. Damn it :(

  • Hi .. I'm on Gold Coast, northern end.
I have the 4 x Dishwasher tablets to swap :)
(But then someone will have to tell me what they are like, so that I can fill in the Survey thing when it comes???) (I'm not sure how that survey thing works yet?, I only just joined up a couple weeks ago, and got my Box yesterday :)

    • +2

You don't have to rate products that you haven't used in the survey.
It asks you if you've tried each product, and if you haven't, just say no and no more questions about that product.

    • You do not have to answer the survey for the items you do not use.

    • Lol what do you want for them?
I just gave them away to a work colleague since I do not actually have a dishwasher.

    • Thanks roughana for the PM message.. I get how it works now., thanks.

Also, purringirl below - does your comment below mean, what would I like to swap for the tablets?…

      Thanks
      Pen.

I have been considering just taking my unused products to a charity for donation. Not everyone's preferred option but I just don't know if I can be bothered organising various swaps.

I have really enjoyed using the Cyprus sea salt. I put it on everything :)

    • That's a really good idea :)
I got the Cyprus salt also its interesting, but i find the black colour can mix with food and it can look a bit odd visually but all good.

Does anybody else think that the finish dish washing tablets suck?. .fairy seem to be way better.. Even aldi powder! Or maybe it's just me..

    • Yeah they sucked.

OK planning to try the Pea and Zucchini soup. What's the accepted approach to the 1.6 servings per pack.
    2 x even short serves
1 x extra large serve or
    1 x recommended serve and 1 x half serve? ;-)

We had the Soup last night, between my husband and I. It's not a lot of soup, but it's filling. I'd had a big lunch, so only had a very small bowl of the soup, but my husband was then able to have a pretty filled cereal bowl's amount. Deceiving how much is in that pack!.. We had it with toasted up bread loaf.

I could taste a fair amount of the Balsamic vinegar in it - not off-putting, quite tasty, but different to anything else I've had. It almost tasted like a very close sister to baked beans :)

      • I'm just having the Taylors Pumpkin, Sweet Potato and Pear soup (not from RedPawPaw… coincidentally, I already had bought this soup pouch before even reading this thread but it had remained sitting in my pantry).

It's not a lot of soup at all. Can't see how you shared it with your husband lol. I'm female too so not as big an eater as the blokes here would be, and it's still looking like a just-right serving for me. I could be wrong in how filling this is though…

One thing I noticed straight away is how fresh this smells. It's not like other canned soups. This smells like freshly roasted and blended sweet potato and pumkin.

If anyone wants to offload any of that pea and zucchini soup, PM me! lol

They don't sell that flavour yet :( Looks like they're still trialling it. Sounds really good though! Would buy. lol

        • I was so happy to receive the minestrone, but I found it too acidic or salty, couldn't finish it.

  • Anyone near Frankston want to swap my passionfruit macarons for their choc-berry ones? Also wanting to swap my Ovaltine for pretty much anything else (apart from more macarons!).

    • Did anyone else think the Macarons were pre-made and have a big 'groan' moment when they cracked the box.

      • Haha you make me smile tonka. Ordinarily yes I would be the same but for two reasons this time I'm not: one, because fresh-made macarons are so much fresher and unlikely to have been crushed and broken in transit and two, I have tasted the passionfruit ones before when a work colleague brought them in for a morning tea and they are effing delish. Can't wait to try my hand at making the raspberry choc ones that came in my box.
