How to sell a phone with a small problem?

That problem is that the screen doesn't react to touches every now and then, like around 1% of the time. The big problem is that it stopped working a few months ago and I left it in it's box then opened a few weeks ago to check if it works and it did. So I've been using it semi regularly since then and it only stopped working 3 or 4 times but I only had to restart it once. Should I sell it on eBay and hope for the best or put a warning in the description? I don't want it and would like to sell it, so any advice would be appreciated. And it's a HTC One X.

If you bought a phone with an issue like that but wasnt detailed in the listing, would you be happy?

  • I had a similar problem with my HTC desire HD . At first touch screen stops work for few times in a day and day by day it happens and one day it completely stops. So what I did is ordered a new touch screen from ebay which is cheap and replaced it by myself. So the phone still works without any problem. Videos on youtube will help you to replace the screen.

    • That's what happened with my phone as well. Anyway how much did the touchscreen and replacement kit cost?

      • Chepest one will be $15. You can search on ebay to find out more.

      • Before you shell-out for a new digitiser, fiddle around with the cable-plug connections to it. Temperature-related expansion and contraction on a poor contact can make for many an intermittent screen issue.

        • I wouldn't really know what I would be doing, so I don't want to risk it.

  • www.sellyourmobile.com.au — i've used them and pleased with the service. Put the problem clearly and they'll give you a decent price. Don't think you should sell it to anybody else as these guys recycle your phone or maybe repair and sell it as refuribished
