Linkedin is a joke anyway. All white collared people trying to be tech savvy.

She said similar HTTPS protection is being rolled out for LinkedIn users in other parts of the world.

Apparently Australia is part of "other parts of the world" that doesn't get default HTTPS access to LinkedIn. LinkedIn is probably the only large social/professional network that does not have HTTPS by default. Even MySpace has it…

      • Leverich added that LinkedIn members can also choose to turn on HTTPS by default with a few simple steps: Go to the LinkedIn settings, click the Account tab and then click "manage security settings" and check the box and click "save changes."

can just enable in settings. but should probably be default

I suck at LinkedIn and its bare.
I often get requests from people I don't know (but from associated field or HR or recruitment) and I'm always hesitant if I should allow to make a connection with them.

    • I actually have to put a "connection policy" in my profile, where cold turkey attempts with no prior communication would get denied straight away.

      • If only that stopped the cold calls and emails at work. They find me on linked in, then look at the business website. LinkedIn is more useful for Sales than users.
