Need help finding a good flight :(
I am leaving rather soon on short notice why I'm sure isn't going to help with a cheap flight but unsure of what is a good airline and price as I really never travel.
Looking to leave on Friday 4th July (departure can vary as long as I'm in London by 7am on Saturday 5th July lol). My return flight can be any date after the 28th of September.
Any help or advise will be highly appreciated. Thank you!
Should note that the SriLankan Airlines SYD - KL / KL - SYD is on Malaysia Airlines just good to know if you are not comfortable flying with MAS yet after MH370.
You may have to play with the dates, but if you Air Asia it to KL and then Kuwait/Sri Lankan Airlines to LHR, you should be able to get around $1600-$1650.
Thanks for the replies. This is my first international flight so yeah, trying to avoid Asian airlines out of fear and multiple stop overs. Plus I am on my own for the flight :(
Virgin Australia has flights with a stop over in Dubai for $2900. Though, lastminute.com.au has the exact same flight for $2550. Has anyone used that website or know of any issues?
You can be pretty confident that lastminute.cm.au is an ok website, but I don't know if they'd have the absolute best prices.
Also, don't be too down on Asian airlines. Air Asia is quite basic and MH has a sullied name currently, but Singapore and Emirates are top class. You can get a Singapore flight for $2400 at Zuji and it's a relatively quick one, too. Emirates are around $2700 and Thai $2250 at travel.com.au.
Cheapest is probably $1.9k with SriLankan Airlines, Stop at KL then Colombo SriLanka. Jetabroad has the cheapest flight. Probably not a 'good' airline though… and the route times are crazy. 30hrs+
Dates are: 2 July departure, 1 Oct return (around the same price for 30 Sep).

Next best would be Thai airways for $2.2k with 1 stop in Bangkok.
