Bulk buy Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from Alibaba.com

Has anyone any experience with purchasing mobile handset through alibaba.com. I searched the website and found unbelievably cheap price at just over $200 per piece for brand new original samsung galaxy note 3 n9005 model through a gold supplier from China. Just wonder if anyone has every bought anything from this site before and how legit is it?

If this is a real deal I would buy from them as a group buy and if anyone from ozbargain who would like to share the bulk buy it would be a real cheap way to get high price branded good from overseas.

name of the Co. source in alibaba.com that i am looking at buying from ishttp://honourstar.en.alibaba.com/company_profile.html#top-nav-bar.

  • sounds too good to be true TBH. Either that or retail markup on phones is beyond ridiculous.

  • i dont know about a phone but screen protector production is actually that cheap. i ordered from dhgate before for bulk screen protectors just to see if it is really that cheap.

  • Alibaba is basically a (more) corrupt ebay. So i'd be careful

  • Would probably be a replica phone if it's anything to go by like dhgate.

As for screen protectors, they really are dirt cheap. Just a piece of plastic really. Can be had for around $0.30-$0.40 a piece.

    • i got a stack from dhgate for 6 cents a piece. lol

  • Definitely fake.

    The pictures of the actual phone are quite convincing - but the boxes are clearly fakes;

    • The boxes are too wide, too long and too shallow.

    • The colour underneath the wood grain pattern on the side is wrong (it should be colored band that corresponds with the colour of the phone).

    • The actual Note 3 boxes do not have '®' on the word "Note".

    • The "Samsung GALAXY Note 3" wording and recycling information is missing off the left hand side of the box.

    • The IMEI sticker on the bottom of the box is wrong.

    • Also these "NIB" Note 3s are missing the protective cover that comes on the screen.

    • Thank Dumax for spotting all the fake in the packaging. I would not have know that it's a scam. The website state that seller is gold member and verified but no one knows for sure. Like some say if it's cheap, it ain't good still holds true in most cases.

  • Hi,

Alibaba is legit but the items sold on there are most likely to be Replica/Clones. DhGate items are Clones only from china. I am a buyer and user of those sites. Do not buy anything from china or from people who says they are suppliers if your after genuine phones.

Alibaba and dhgate are legit sites where you buy and they will send you the item. But the items are not originals.
Anything stating you to send money via western union, money gram, Bank transfer. Those are 100% scammed. I know as I have tried to test it out and it is scammed.

I have bought a clone samsung galaxy s5 on dhgate. They do send the item. But if you ask for a refund, you will never get your money back as I have tested them also.

So be careful about cheap price on phones.

  • I use aliexpress a lot, the non-wholesale alibaba spinoff. Lots of stuff described differently than the actual product. Sometimes they just use the terms (very liberally) to describe the item to be really close to the original, or copy and paste from manufacturer sites because they don't know how else to describe the copy in english. Benefit on aliexpress is there's a decent feedback system and it's reasonably reliable, so you know what to expect (copy/quality wise).
