Just received an email about introductory flight offer from Jetstar for Sydney-Perth flights; sale fares are for travel between 20 October - 10 December 2009 and are for carry on baggage only. You can pay an extra $10 per flight for checked luggage:

Flights between Sydney and Perth commence 2 October 2009. Sale fares are for travel between 20 October - 10 December 2009.

These sale fares are JetSaver Light^ fares for when you travel with carry on baggage only. However, you can choose to book a JetSaver fare for just $10 more and you'll get 20kg checked baggage allowance. Not available on all flights or days.

    and what vile flight times they are..at least Tiger offers Evening and Morning services from Melbourne for $98! Overnight flight are not good!

    Horrible flight times, and they sure did sell out of most of the decent days very quickly. I had a flights booked but the site stopped on the CC processing screen so lost my flights =( had to rebook with other times much less desirable, but for Syd > Perth still super cheap.

    Expired? Nooooo. While the flight times may not be the greatest, the prices are certainly decent. Would have made an awesome long weekend away.

    4.5 hours on Jet*… at midnight. It's not the most enticing of deals.
