Put the sim card back in the wrong way and tried to get it out and the tip broke off.
Ordered the disassembly kit (its an old model out of warranty) but its gonna take a few days
Are there any good cheap prepaid deals going with bonus credit?
Or is 2nd hand my only option?

I can tell you what they will offer you.
If you have a 3GS, they will offer you a refurb 3Gs for $180
If it is a iphone 4, a refurb for $200 and a 4S for $220 (not too sure about 4s)
I know this because I had a 3Gs late last yearr that I broke the sim slot due to using an adapter on a micro sim, blah blah blah..long story short it was my fault.
The options apple gave me was refurb 3GS for $180 or a new 4s for $650ish (it was mid $600 I cannot recall the exact amount)
I told them that neither were good options for me. How about an refurb iphone4 for $200?
Nope. knocked flatly back. will not budge. So I left after spending 2 hours (queuing time included)
TBH you're better off on WP forums. People here don't even like there iPhones.
Pretty likely they'd try and fix it even though out of warranty at a Genius bar if it only requires opening the phone up or sticking some tweezers in.
I'm pretty sure you only have to worry about warranty if there're replacing parts or the phone.
