PS Vita - PCH2002 - $259 @ JB HiFi bundled with Borderlands or a few other selected games

60

Hi all,

I went to JB Hifi on Saturday and bought myself a PS Vita (the new version). This is a pretty nice deal considering the console itself is $259 at JB Hifi and most other stores.

This bundle can be interchanged with a couple of games (or so i was told, i actually got GOW collection and sold that to my friend).

The games that i could remember that are interchangable are listed below, I'd recommend asking the guys there, they can show you the list on their system.

  • Borderlands 2
  • Killzone: Mercenary
  • God of War HD collection
  • All-stars Battle Royale (Not too sure on that one… i think it was in there)
  • Soul Sacrifice
  • Lego Mega Pack (16Gb memory card)
  • Indie Pack (4Gb memory card)

Basically, if you don't want any of the games there… you could always get the memory cards (which comes with download codes i believe… so you can sell those?) or get the game and sell it on ebay for $30+ as brand new.

Hoped this helped with anyone looking to get a PS Vita.

P.S. The site says PCH 2000 but when i looked at mine, it said PCH 2002… not too sure if that matters…

Cheers,

ProjectZero

Like other Playstation products the last 2 digits represent a region code. PCH-2002 is simply an Australia & New Zealand region (02). Region codes on Sony consoles don't mean much. Any region restrictions are based on your PSN account and not the hardware.

    • Fair enough, i assume this will work with the 64Gb cards from overseas? I got someone to send me one from HK so hopefully, it'll work.

Cards and consoles are region free.

  • Nice to know the new version is selling in Australia. I guess we can assume that Sony has room for these in their warehouses now (after clearing discounted stocks of the older model :) Price isn't too bad.

  • they dont even advertise vita games anymore
    i hope the vita doesn't die :(

    • I think it's on life support at least. Having it hacked would generate a lot of excitement I think

It isn't about to die guys. It sold 27k last week (which is actually 10% down on usual sales due to MK fever and WiiU deals)

  • Which store did you head to kind sir?

I tried asking Mt Ommaney in Brisbane whether or not the would swap out games and was refused saying that head office wouldn't let them do so.

    • Hey mate, sorry for the late reply, the store i went to was the Blacktown store in NSW.

The guy there showed me a list of games that cost the same and was able to give the deal to me with another game. It seems to be in their internal system so perhaps the staff that you talk to may not know about it yet.

      Hoped that helped.
