We have a lot of old iluv iPhone 4 and iPod touch cases, that's simply taking up room.
postage fee make it too expensive and not worthwhile.
As a thought, we are considering a $1 donation for each case, we are currently selling these cases for $6
All monies from the sale will go to charity.
But then again, will people be bothered to drive over and pick it up and give buyers the option for having it delivered for $8

School fetes always need good items to sell or pack into sample bags.
If keen do a promotion for preferred charities, sell items for x$ discounted small gold coin, but have store offers and giveaway in some of the goods. Tie in radio/tv news/internet/social promotion.

Do you sell other (small) items that are fragile that you would otherwise bubblewrap before mailing? Sandwich them between your iCases, instead!
I'm aware of some overseas sellers who do just that with old-model / lurid-coloured or patterned phone cases that would otherwise end up in (their) landfill.
A bit of nice, lateral, thinking, and your customers will be suitably amused by the surprise 'bonus'…
Off the back of all of the extra sales from the resulting, new, customer goodwill engendered, you can then - purely out of the goodness of your hearts - make an entirely separate donation to charity!

Most people will be upgrading from a 4, and whoever is inheriting it gets a nice, new case.
I like all the suggestions above, but logistic an issue because we need to have them distributed to charities.
I'm thinking maybe we will try sell them as a bundle.
Just put the whole lot on ebay or gumtree and donate whatever you get for them.

The one who negged me, if you can tell me why the idea is bad? OP was willing to sell it for $1 and prefer someone who will buy in bulk. Set up kiosk fits the bill.

Maybe call for volunteers in each major CBD to act as a collection point? They would collect and submit group "orders".
