What are you claiming? (Tax-Time Write Offs)

Hey guys;

There's a whole lot of stuff that gets pumped through the gates of OzBargain that helps us save money on the things we want, the things we need and the things that we didn't know we wanted or needed until we already found ourselve on the PayPal Payment Confirmation screen. (I call these "OzBlackouts").

But I'm just about to stick through an order for a Google Nexus 7 and claim a concessional amount for business purposes, and I was just interested to see if anybody else was on the same page. Are you pulling the trigger on some neat tech for business purposes? Maybe that new Aero Chair? Maybe 140kgs of Enloops? Or maybe just nine PS3 consoles?

So, OzBargain, what're you claiming?

  • tablets are easy to claim, but don't forget you have to actually depreciate it over a life of 2 years.

    So if you buy today, you can't claim much.

    I'm claiming my tablet, some magazine purchases relating to investing, some stationary and crp. Thats about it.
