  • I looked at this in JB. I think it was a slightly older model (CPU maybe different), it was up for 1500.

Nice aluminum case and FHD screen. 3 USB3 ports unlike the 5000 model. I believe the NIC is 10/100/1000 as well which is a bonus if you are going to use it - have asked the question as i am too thinking of this as my new lappie!

graphics card any good? depends on your needs.

Friend has it and likes it!

    • Dedicated graphic should theoretically be better than any Intel integrated graphics, eg. what you find in the Macs.

      • Its the same dedicated GPU that is in the 15" Macbook Pro. But the Mac is $1000 more than this deal.

        • Yeah, but the cheaper macbook pros, are not pro at all, for the reason he has stipulated.

  • It will be better. I think the card is mid-range of the field, for my purposes i think it is good. depends if you are a gamer. Will do a bit of research.

Rem the 20% ebay dell this Sunday too!

    • That is what I'm waiting for, however I fear since dell is already doing 20% off they wont reduce by another 20%.

  • Cheaper than Dell's DFO price here.

Not too bad a price then.

  • The specs on this are good for the money.

In the past, I have found Dell Inspirons to have crappy keyboards, trackpads and cases. Before you spend $1349 on a laptop, make sure you have some hands on time with it, or an equivalent model.

  • Just a quick update I ended picking one up on Sunday in eBay deals for $1319, not a stunning deal however I am pleased with the price.
