Any suggestions for gyms to try in Adelaide CBD?

So I'm recently out of contract with Goodlife King William St Adelaide, I been at the same gym long before Fitness First was bought out by Goodlife.

I'm gonna negotiate and get them down from the current ~$30 per fortnight I'm being reamed for ATM but before that it'd be nice to hear some suggestions for gyms in Adelaide CBD. So far I can only think of Jetts and EFM. Memorial Drive is obviously gonna be way too expensive for me.

Features I need are lockers to use, sit down cycles, treadmills and the usual free weights and equipment (benchpress and squat racks specifically). Anything else is a bonus. I don't mind gyms where half the dudes are on steroids though I'd prefer a more how shall I put this … still serious about working hard atmosphere without going to that extreme. Good looking girls would also be a plus.

Basically I'm wanting to go to Goodlife with an offer and say beat that or lose a long term customer when I switch.

  • I'm at Jetts East End. Has everything you listed apart from proper lockers, and from my experience Jetts clientele is fairly mixed in the terms of 'seriousness'. I train early mornings when it's pretty quiet so I dunno about the girl situation.

    • Adding on: Jetts Currie St has a few more of the serious folk. There's also Anytime in James Pl and Morphett st and I heard more lifters go there. There's also Your World fitness in Young St and they seem to have a pretty fancy setup

  • Cheers for all the suggestions guys that's very helpful

  • Adelaide uni gym is pretty decent.
